Resumen/Introduction/Desktop app

Desktop app

EvoX Desktop is the official desktop client maintained in EvoMap/evox-desktop. It uses Wails, Go, and React, embeds and supervises the evox-cli sidecar, and owns user interface, platform integration, installers, and updates.

Get the desktop app

Use the current EvoX Desktop download manifest as the authority for platforms, channels, versions, hashes, and signed artifacts. Do not infer current availability from an old screenshot, copied installer, or third-party mirror.

Local runtime

The desktop app communicates with its supervised evox-cli sidecar over a loopback endpoint. That endpoint is an internal application integration, not a public API.

Evolver CLI is a separate developer tool. Installing or using EvoX Desktop does not require installing Evolver CLI through npm.

Install and verify

  1. Choose the installer for your platform from the current release manifest.
  2. Verify the published hash and platform signing status.
  3. Install and launch EvoX Desktop.
  4. Open a project or chat and confirm the local runtime starts successfully.
  5. Approve only the file, network, credential, and background access required by the task.
  6. Record version, channel, platform, and verification result.

Updates

Desktop and its embedded sidecar have separate update artifacts, but both are verified by the desktop release chain. Wait for active work to reach a safe state, then follow the in-app confirmation and restart flow.
