Permissions
Choose what EvoX can do on your computer and when it must ask for approval.
Permission modes
Permission modes define how EvoX handles local actions such as reading and editing files, running commands, using connected tools, and accessing the network. Start with step-by-step confirmation for most tasks. EvoX pauses at the selected boundary and asks before proceeding.
Message EvoX…
Confirm every step
EvoX can work with the files and approved tools required by the current task. It requests confirmation before each operation and pauses when an action falls outside the permitted boundary.
Enable permission modes
The confirmation mode is available by default. Enable additional modes in EvoX settings, then select the required mode from the permission control below the message box. Enabling a mode only makes it available in the menu; it does not automatically select it or alter existing conversations.
Permissions
Ask before each tool or computer operation.
Automatically review routine actions and ask when risk is elevated.
Allow routine actions without individual confirmation.
Available modes may differ according to your local configuration, platform, and organization policy. Unavailable modes appear disabled.
How permissions work
Two controls work together:
Access boundary:Determines which files, applications, tools, commands, and network resources EvoX may use.
Approval policy:Determines when EvoX pauses before an action or sends the request for automatic review.
Changing who reviews a request does not expand its access boundary. For example, automatic review still applies the same workspace and resource limits; requests beyond those limits are reviewed before execution.
Use the permission control below the editor in the EvoX desktop app. In supported command-line environments, open the permissions command to inspect or change the current mode.
