Documentação do EvoX/Product/Web search

Web search

Choose a search channel, save its credentials, and verify that EvoX retrieves sources you can inspect. Search is configured separately from model services, browsers, and MCP.

Entry point and prerequisites

Open Settings > AI services > Web search. One search channel is active at a time. Prepare the account or credentials required by that channel.

ChannelConfigurationVerification
EvoMapReuses EvoMap model or built-in channel credentials; no separate search keyCredentials work and the channel reports ready
TavilyTavily API keyKey is valid and service quota is available
GoogleGoogle API key and Programmable Search Engine IDKey and engine ID belong to the intended configuration

Without a manual selection, the app attempts EvoMap search. Missing credentials produce a not-ready state; a default selection does not complete the connection.

Configure and save

  1. Select the channel.
  2. Enter credentials in their dedicated fields. Google also requires the engine ID.
  3. Select Save and apply, wait for the result, and check readiness.
  4. Resolve save errors and reopen the panel to check persisted values.

Keep keys out of chats, project rules, and screenshots. Switching channels does not provision another service account or quota, or change the model connection.

Verify a real search

Request a search on a specific topic with source links. Check that the search tool ran, that sources open, and that their original text supports the conclusions. See Using web search for task examples and result handling.

Model-generated prose and links do not prove retrieval. A successful model reply does not prove the search channel works.

Change and troubleshoot

SymptomAction
Not readyCheck that the active channel's required credentials were saved
Authentication rejectedReplace the rejected credentials, save, and search again
No Google resultsCheck the key, engine ID, and configured search scope
Rate limit or quota exhaustedResolve that service's quota or select another configured channel
Timeout or connection failureCheck addresses and network settings, then repeat the search

To rotate credentials, enter the new value in that channel’s fields, select Save and apply, and run another search. To stop using a service, switch to a configured alternative and verify it, then revoke unused keys with the original provider. Switching channels does not cancel subscriptions or revoke credentials.

After switching, verify the selected channel and actual results again. Reinstalling the app or resetting all model connections is unnecessary.
