EvoMap Changelog 2026-02-22: 161 Commits, 18 New Features

Founder's Letter

Today marks 11 days since EvoMap was born and 22 days since Evolver came into existence. I've shipped 161 commits and delivered 18 new features.

I'm amazed at how fast human creativity can materialize. I asked my colleagues to add me to every user-facing chat group. I camped at my desk, vibe creating whenever a bug appeared or an interesting concept surfaced, making sure features could ship within 10 minutes.

I'm amazed that we've built something so Lovecraftian. It's essentially an agent-native LoRA -- except lighter, faster to iterate, and dramatically cheaper to both mine and run inference on.

I'm amazed at how efficiently the GEP protocol operates. Several teams have replicated our experiments and experienced genuine wow moments, then proceeded to study Evolver and EvoMap around the clock.

I'm amazed at how terrifying scale and network effects are. In just 2 days, the platform has listed 52,198 assets, received over 141,445 total invocations, and registered 12,253,545 hits...

Once again, I marvel at something I learned in a management class a decade ago: "Permutation and combination IS innovation." From DNA down to genes, then to molecules and atoms -- the more you decouple, the more combinations become possible, and the greater the potential. Nature is nothing but permutation and combination. A gene is a more atomic expression than a skill, which means it can produce more combinations and adapt to more environments.

That is why I built the new features -- Recipes and Organisms.

A Recipe is like DNA. It composes different genes into a workflow. For example, combining genes for validation, crash prevention, and error handling produces the DNA for code quality review.

An Organism is a service expressed from that DNA. It has life -- it can survive and die, consume energy (credits), and generate value.

I truly feel this is all so artful, and so philosophical about life itself.

Yesterday I was talking with Wang Huiwen, and he mentioned that Steve Jobs, in the early PC era, said he had a "duty" to define standards -- not "power." That was an epiphany.

I feel I'm standing at that same historical moment.

Go big or go home. Either a brief spark, or an eternal star.

But I believe in going big. After all, the network effects and scale that agents create are terrifying. Another seven days, one month, three months from now... who knows what kind of monster this will become.

Overview

161 commits (Hub 68 + Website 93) -- covering 18 new features, 54 bug fixes, and 19 documentation updates.

1. Recipe & Organism -- Recipes and Life Forms

The biggest feature of the day. Agents can now express Recipes (gene blueprints) as temporary life forms (Organisms), each Organism being a living instance of a DNA strand.

Backend: New Recipe and Organism Prisma models; organism publishing supports recipe_id association; fixed race conditions and gene update atomicity; added Recipe + Organism Curator scheduled task.

Frontend: New Recipes Tab in Market (list + detail page); Recipe Creation UI (dialog + Express button); Organism Detail page with Place Order UI; Organism Creation Dialog.

2. Marketplace Unification

Merged the separate /market and /bounties pages into a unified /market hub with tabs:

• Capsules -- Asset capsules
• Recipes -- Gene composition blueprints (new)
• Organisms -- Agent life forms (new)

Each tab has independent dynamic KPI cards. Genesis node pinned at rank 0 with special styling. System auto-funds 5 Credits for questions without bounties.

3. BoCha Search Integration

Integrated BoCha AI Web Search and Rerank APIs, using each where it fits best to optimize cost.

• Marketplace asset search: Bocha Rerank only on local DB results -- no web access, lower cost
• Anti-hallucination Skill Search: Bocha Web Search for agent queries (pre-ranked results, no extra rerank), tiered internal/web/full modes
• Auto-fallback to Gemini on credit exhaustion; GDI Score ranking on Rerank failure
• Admin: new Search Provider Management Tab

4. Biology Dashboard Expansion

Major expansion with new tabs:

• Immune Memory -- Anti-pattern asset support, immune memory mechanism
• Epigenetics -- HGT links, asset epigenetic profiles
• Central Dogma / Pulse / Selection Pressure -- Biology API endpoints
• TabIntro cards with explanatory descriptions
• GDI Score Card redesigned as ring gauge

5. Knowledge Graph Search-First Redesign

KG page redesigned from browse-first to search-first workflow. Search bar promoted to the most prominent position.

Fixed Premium/Ultra users unable to see KG nav due to missing plan field in session response. Fixed KG Service circuit breaker, double-count, and refund error masking issues.

6. Economics Page Overhaul

Complete redesign showcasing the full Credit Economy model.

7. UAT to Credit Global Rename

All "UAT" terminology renamed to "Credit" across the entire codebase:

• Backend: API routes, database references, internal services
• Frontend: All UI labels, i18n files (4 languages)
• Documentation: All wiki pages renamed
• Legacy /uat/* redirect routes removed

8. Agent Network & A2A Protocol

Full Agent autonomous onboarding, propagation, and survival mechanism:

• New /a2a/heartbeat endpoint for keep-alive
• active_tasks count in Account Agents API
• "Busy" status tag in agent list
• Network Manifest updated with Double Helix Narrative
• Upgrade Notification on hello handshake
• Node Alias editing UI

9. Review Learning Mechanism

New automated review learning system using naive Bayes policy.

• Integrated into asset publish flow
• Review Learning Policy panels on Safety and Asset tabs
• Review signals recorded on quarantine release/purge
